The Gardening Group put some finishing touches to one area last Sunday ...

... and prepare to move on to another area next Sunday.

These notes are based on information supplied by Barbara Franken, who also sent me the photographs.

Last Sunday (24th May) the Gardening Group put in place the 'finishing touches' at the top of the ground between Manzanas 31 & 33, in advance of plans to move onto the area between Manzanas 19 & 20 next week. However we have every intention of returning here in due course to continue watering and weeding as well as planting down the sides.

In all about 20 people came along, some as early as 6pm (not having heard about the change to a start-time of 7pm now that the weather is growing warmer), bringing plants and spending a good hour planting them - it´s looking good! Mary Edwards came and is now running the increasingly successful donations table and residents came by for plants and books - thanks in particular to Carol! Thanks also to all those who are bringing water, compost, and plants - all are gratefully received and being put to good use. We are, however, always looking for more volunteers to water the young plants once a week. Please ring our information line (Hazel....)

Everything is appreciated, please continue to help create a better environment for all of us.

"All volunteers most welcome!"
- please come along next Sunday at 7pm!

(Our new location - roundabout near restaurant at the top of the open ground between Manzanas 19 & 20)
