Art exhibition by two foreign residents of Mazarrón - 30th July to 21st August

Tomorrow, Friday 30th July, an exhibition of artworks by two foreign residents of Mazarrón will open in two rooms of the exhibition space of Mazarrón Town Hall and will continue until Saturday 21st August.

The two artists are:
- Patrick Durrant, whose artworks for this exhibition have the theme of "The Essence", designed to illustrate how people interact with each other as well as some watercolours inspired by his recent trips to India and the earthworks of East Anglia in England;
- Matt Jones who, since his arrival in Spain, has been inspired by the natural light and wonderful landscapes of the Mazarrón area, using acrylic, recycled materials and driftwood in his work. The works for this exhibition focus on the quiet, on sea-side housing, light-hearted pictures, spring in the countryside, tableaux halfway between painting and sculpture, images of fish, as well as the colours in his garden and rock formations.

Unfortunately I am not in Spain at present, so will be unable to visit this exhibition myself, but I feel sure it will be interesting and worthwhile for anyone who does include a visit in their itinerary over the coming three weeks.
