Renovated medical centre in Mazarrón to open next week

The renovated and expanded medical centre in Mazarrón will be inaugurated next Thursday, 30th September 2010 at 12.30, according to this report. The facility has been expanded from about 1,500 to 2,700 sq m by the addition of another floor (health services are now spread over three floors). In addition to regular medical facilities (physiotherapy, accident and emergency, nursing and pediatrics, etc) there will be a dental clinic and this will obviate the previous need to travel to Cartagena for dental treatment.

According to the linked report the opening of the new medical clinic at Camposol is now 'imminent' in fiscal 2010 (*); I last wrote about progress of this new medical facility in May this year here.

I wrote last June about the opening of the new health centre in Puerto de Mazarrón here.

(*) Pure speculation on my part, but I imagine that the current financial/fiscal difficulties being felt throughout Spain (and Europe generally), have delayed the opening of this facility; it is good to see, however, that all these projects now seem to be reaching fruition.
